Who is ShineeSunshine?

I’m Mohini Raaj. I’m a primary teacher. But readers know me by my pen name, ShineeSunshine.

Why a pen name?

When I first started my writing journey on Wattpad, I never thought about using my real name. I didn’t imagine that one day, people would love my writing and connect with my stories. I chose the name casually; SHINee is my favorite K-pop boyband that introduced me to the K-pop world in 2010. I added Sunshine because it felt sweet and beautiful.

I’ve been writing since I was eight years old. Back then, I didn’t know what I wanted to write. But as I grew older, I realized that writing is my peace, my voice, and my purpose. It gives me comfort, joy, and a sense of freedom. I love books, nature, and music, and slowly, my imagination turned into words on paper. I enjoy creating crimson tales of desire, darkness, and love that never truly fades.

I began my journey with passion, late-night thoughts, unspoken emotions, and characters who lived in my mind. Publishing my first book on Wattpad was a bold step; and I haven’t stopped since. My achievements: I became a Wattpad Creator, a title I earned through my dedication and consistent writing. My most loved and notable books are “TAKEN: King’s Rights Reserved” and “Billionaire FATED Bride”, a favorite among my readers.

I’ve been blessed with millions of reads across my books, Bestseller tag and Hot New Release tag on Amazon Kindle Unlimited. My writing style is different from others because I begin each chapter with a quote, some poetic lines, sayari or song’s lines that reflect its title, captures the characters’ emotions, or hints at an upcoming twist. I’ve written more than 40+ books, and I still have over 15 books saved in my drafts, waiting for the right time to shine.
